One of the most anticipated fairs in the country, the 11th edition of the Manila Food and Beverage Expo hopes to take you on a gastronomic adventure like no other. Running until June 18th, this year’s staging continues to showcase a wide diversity of specialties and cuisines.
The expo has over 500 booths from both local and international brands. These are some that caught our attention:Nature Earth & Sagana has shing-a-ling mixed with malunggay in cheese, sour cream, and barbeque powder.
GUSTO Juice specializes in detox tea and juices that is flavored with Mango and sweetened by Stevia.
Sho Da Food’s seaweed sheets have pumpkin seeds that add extra flavor and crunch.
Joey Prats Ultra Mixes has delicious, chewy brownies.Unilink Food Manufacturing Group has one of the tastiest longganisa, bacon, and sausage products we’ve tasted.
Manang Joy Authenic Empanada brings the original Ilocos empanada to Manila as well as rice meals.Foss Coffee offers a variety of ice blended coffee and ice blended cream.
Chrimi’s mixed coffee and chocolate drink is a delicious treat with rich flavors but without the overpowering taste.Castillejos Agrifarms Inc. makes jams and marmalades in different flavors like Guava Butter, Calamansi Marmalade, and Mango with Coconut and Liquour.
Ashitaba Ice Cream and Tea’s signature hot beverage has a distinct taste that provides relief to the body and other health benefits.
Dutché Chocolates has delectable milk chocolate and strawberry-flavored products.Tsingtao Premium Beer, from China, comes in Tsingtao Lager and the raw and bitter Tsingtao Pure Draft.
The Wild Cup Civet Coffee processes naturally blended Kopi Luwak from Mt. Apo.
Each region also has a display of some of their native delicacies:
DA-RF VIII (Eastern Visayas) – Basimatsi vinegar from Kitchen Witchery Food Ventures Inc. has different takes on the Filipino condiment and blends them with spices and herbs found locally.
DA-RFO XI (Southern Mindanao) – NutraRich Davao Fine Tablea is a rich chocolate drink that will make you keep coming back for more.
DA-RFO I (Ilocos Region) – Inuwayan Farms and Nursery and Winery offer competitively priced Bugnay wines.
DA-RFO VII (Central Visayas) – San Sebastian Seafood Specialties offer Dried Herring and Sardines Pâté that are perfect for your cracker-and-spread snack.
ADC – NCR: Deep Dips by Chef Arnold has a variety of flavors ranging from Dried Dulong to Gourmet Tuyo with Lemon Rind and Extra Virgin Olive Oil.
Aside from food items, other MAFBEX exhibitors also include Simply Nature Organics, Sanremo Coffee Machines, MK Kitchen, Paolito’s Baking Supplies, Bake Et Al, and Bake & Beyond.
