Jenni Epperson, one of the proprietors of Trove, says the decision to organize the trunk show came to their group organically. “We were just chatting online one day, and we realized that we all had businesses that sell products and provide services that help elevate everyday life,” she says. “What better way to showcase our passion projects than through this? Plus, it’s fun working with friends, too!”
These passion projects run the gamut of lifestyle: Ria Francisco-Prieto’s RiaRecommends.com is an online platform that features exclusive pieces from the likes of Gian Romano and Ivar Aseron as well as Ria’s own chic placemats; Always Sunday is an online retailer by Epperson and her VJ daughter Aryanna, which sells a fuss-free skincare line whose names read off like a dessert menu. Check out their scrubs like Brownie Batter and Pink Coco and face mists Minty Matcha and Limoncello; Bijoux Fäh and Fäe is by entrepreneur Macky Fäh, who funnels her experiences and inspirations in living abroad, traveling, and motherhood into a selection necklaces, earrings, and bracelets (the former) and a beeswax-based home candles and soaps (the latter); designer Hindy Weber oversees wholistic food producer Holy Carabao, whose fresh produce, meats, poultry, dairy, grains, and pantry staples are seen in select supermarkets and specialty retailers. The brand has expanded to include home and garden ware. Their salad dressings are must-buys; nawwTy’s kitchen is by Trish Panlilio, and serves local and international high-quality comfort dishes. It has grown into a stylish artisanal marketplace (The Gourmand Market) and a full-fledged restaurant (Mulberry Door), which will be the venue of the trunk show.
Trove comes from the French verb that means “to find,” and Epperson says that visitors can expect discover a lot of “everyday indulgences” at the whole day event. The group plans to host more trunk shows and the future. With their personalized lines, they hope that the items their guests will purchase will uplift the body and soul.
