Want to make your weekend a bit more interesting? Mountain Dew is opening the doors to its Dew Nation HQ Adrenaline Park today at 4pm, where the public can participate in action sports and games.
Anyone with a valid ID can join in on anything from rough and tumble activities like 4×4 rough road racing to skateboard and BMX trick tutorials to virtual reality gaming. “As a brand, we really promote passion, self-expression, community, and having a good time,” says PepsiCo Flavors Category Manager Kay Paras. “Through the Dew Nation HQ, we give consumers an opportunity to easily get away from work, take a break, and spend their weekend doing exhilarating and exciting things.”The dirt track was particularly interesting to brand ambassadors Joyce Pring and Sam YG, who were present at the event. “Sam and I didn’t think ATV courses would be so different from the race tracks we were used to. It was truly exhilarating feeling like a newbie all over again,” she says. Meanwhile, experienced gamers Jugs Jugueta and Ramon Bautista tried their hands on Virtual Reality for the first time. ““Not too many people realize that gaming requires a lot of skill, timing, and patience. It’s not just mindless button mashing, but you need to think fast and always be one step ahead of your opponent and observe how they retaliate,” explains Jugueta. Visitors to the Adrenaline Park can interact with some of these ambassadors as well as the trick skating group the Dew Crew, and can experience all of these activities for themselves.
If you can’t find time to go to the park, you can still participate by posting a photo of what you do with Mountain Dew took keep the spirit of the Dew Nation alive. One winner will be chosen to get an all-expense paid extreme group activity, a Go Pro Hero 5, exclusive merchandise, and a year’s supply of the drink. Tag the brand’s Facebook and Instagram accounts (@mountaindewph for both) and use the hashtags #DewNationPH and #DoItFeelIt in order to qualify.
