The Scene: Axe Project You

To launch a campaign, a new fragrance, and a set of ambassadors, the scents brand partied up and down Poblacion.

To kickoff their new campaign Project You, Axe took over Pura Vida Manila to present Art Wars featuring street artist Jappy Agoncillo. She’s Only Sixteen provided the tunes while Agoncillo demonstrated a bit how he creates his art. It was a Poblacion block party of sorts as celebrations popped up at different locations up and down Don Pedro Street. Agoncillo is part of a fresh slate of ambassadors—which also includes chef Nicco Santos, rapper Curtismith and filmmaker Gino Santos—which introduces the brand’s newest variant Axe You.

Project You is a series of four masterclasses, each hosted by an Axe guy, wherein he will share his knowledge in his field and invite participants to take part in a challenge. Each challenge winner will then get a rare opportunity to work with and for the Axe guys. Details on how to join can be found below.

The Scene: Valentine’s Day 2018

Jericho Rosales, Elmo Magalona, Joshua Garcia, Isaw, and Nuggets got cheesy last Wednesday.

Can you smell the cheese in the air? We have, and we’re loving it. Say what you will about romantic gestures on February 14, but we look forward to holidays like these when everyone is given an opportunity to not phone it in for their significant other. And with socmed giving us a peep into the lives of ever creative lovebirds, our guilty pleasures are realized. Here are our favorites this year.

The Scene: New Year’s Eve Bash at Antidote Rooftop Bar

We used a disposable camera to capture Manila’s notorious night crawlers as they greet 2018

Ah, it’s a new year once again! 2017 may have been tumultuous, bringing all kinds of extraordinary life experiences both good or bad. But this gives us more reason to greet 2018 with a bang. This is exactly what the guests at the New Year’s Bash at Antidote Rooftop Bar had in mind. Jose Cuervo and Johnnie Walker came by free-flowing along with their friends Stolichnoya, Bacardi, and Bombay. Here are some photos of what went down during the hours of January 1st, all taken with a disposable camera. Because, well, the partygoers may have trouble remembering. Happy New Year, everyone! Cheers!

Support Your Friends, the brainchild of brothers Ralph and Randell Cruz, celebrated its first anniversary by dropping a new collection at their pop-up launch in Kapwa Studio, Poblacion. The barbershop cum event space was overflowing with people all throughout the night.  While guests were served Heineken beers, O2Linn soju by GCRM, and food from The Burgery, a handful of up and coming artists served some beats—No One’s Home, Benz Lee, and Owle, to name a few.
